Where did prairie come from? Who lived here, and what were they doing? What was the landscape like? How does it compare to today? 
Those questions are what we will answer in this first episode in our three part docuseries--Prehistoric Prairie. This first episode features the time period of the most recent glaciation of Iowa. We discuss topics including soil, vegetation, and what happened to all of those pleistocene megafauna? 
Our guests include fossil hunters (Judd McCullum, Mitch Gleason, John Waller), a medical school professor and paleontologist (Dr. Julie Meachen), a collegiate biology professor (Dr. Russ Benedict), and county naturalist (Laura DeCook). You won't want to miss this one!
